Communication objective
This piece is intended to showcase the car as the logical choice for the future, "The Natural Progression.” The space around the car emphasizes the influence environmental concerns will have on our driving choices. I developed the art for a photorealistic car and began incorporating elements such as interesting colors, shapes, and animations to juxtapose with it.
This Prius commercial required ten weeks of non-stop work. It demonstrates my skills in Visual Effects and Broadcast Design. Though faced with several obstacles, I persevered and produced an advertisement that I am extremely proud to call my own.
Tools used
With this commercial I used several Adobe tools to achieve the final effect. The car and flower elements were created in 3-D using Maya and then composited into the sequence using Adobe® After Effects®. I used Photoshop®, to create textures and displacements for the lights and the tires. I faced a challenge in generating flowers that bloomed at various times and in several directions. Essentially, I rendered a few flowers in 3-D then duplicated them in After Effects® so they would appear to be an assortment. Lastly I used Illustrator® to create vector graphics for the sky and ground elements. |
