This work represents my search to understand who I am. The world that I create in this piece is my self-portrait. The icons reflect my memories and experiences. They have their own characters, stories, names and identity numbers. I use icons as a medium to visualize my past because they are symbols that can express ideas simply. Through the use of icons, people can understand each other without the complications of any language barriers.[nbsp /]
I used Adobe® Illustrator® to trace all my icons and the background I drew. In order to get a very perfect curve and line quality, I used pathfinder to add, subtract and divide my shapes. Swatch library and swatches tool make it easy for me to pick and match colors. Smart guide, transform tool and align tool help me to get the precise position.
